Alter Bridge Facts

Alter Bridge was named after a bridge in Detriot, near Mark's home.  Alter Bridge was a passage that Mark was forbidden to cross, from the good neighborhood into the drug and crime-ridden part of town.  For the band, the name symbolizes crossing into the unknown, and the choice that accompanies it.

Three of Alter Bridge's band members (Mark, Scott, and Brian) had played together before in Creed.  Since Myles was a new addition to the group, he participated in an initiation activity with his other bandmates by bunjee-jumping the largest jump in Florida.

Alter Bridge's debut album "One Day Remains" was released on August 10th, 2004, and has since been certified gold (500,000+ copies sold)!

Both of Mark's brothers are involved in Alter Bridge.  Daniel Tremonti, who is the director of design services at Three Mountain Group, designs all the band's artwork for CDs and the web site.  Michael Tremonti tours with the band, and is in charge of fan relations, and keeping the fans up-to-date on the latest news.

Alter Bridge has vowed not to play any Creed songs at their shows, citing that it would be unfair to play those songs for the fans without the entire band present.  Interestingly, even after making the same agreement with the members of Alter Bridge, Scott Stapp has performed Creed songs on numerous occasions.

Alter Bridge has toured with many other bands including Submersed, Silvertide, Crossfade, Shinedown, Three Doors Down, Staind, and Switchfoot.  They have also played music festivals including Voodoo music fest, and the Download festival in Donnington, England.
