PRS Mark Tremonti Signature Electric Guitar

Due to his success with Creed and his superior guitark skills, Mark earned a signature model with Paul Reed Smith Guitars, known as the Tremonti signature model.  The guitar is essentially a PRS Singlecut with mother-of-pearl bird inlays, a special 12-fret inlay with Mark’s name on it, and custom Tremonti bass and treble pickups.  In 2004, Gibson sued PRS for “copying” the Les Paul body shape in their Singlecut models, and PRS was forced to cease production of the Singlecut guitars, including both Tremonti models and the Soapbar SE.  However, after appealing the case, in 2005 the courts realized how ridiculously stupid the claim was, and allowed Singlecut production to start back up again.  The Tremonti signature model is available in black and platinum, but Mark also owns many custom-made Tremonti guitars with various finishes and some with tremolos.

Black – Mark’s signature guitar, which he has used during the Creed days and the Alter Bridge days.

Platinum – Mark used a platinum Tremonti model with a whammy bar during the Creed and Alter Bridge tours.

Tribal – This guitar features a beautiful tribal paint job on the top and headstock, and was produced in a limited run of 100 guitars.  It is thought that only around 60 of these guitars were completed before the Gibson lawsuit and it is unknown if PRS has started up their production again.  Mark used this during the ‘Weathered’ tour, and during the ‘One Day Remains’ tour to play “Open Your Eyes”.  Picture from eBay.

Charcoal Burst – Complete with a tremolo, Mark used this guitar very frequently during the ‘One Day Remains’ tour.

Black Cherry – another variation of the Tremonti signature model.

Tiger Eye – and another.

Dragon – It is rumored that Mark owns a Tremonti version of the Dragon 2000 guitar.
