PRS Tremonti SE Electric Guitar
 |
The Tremonti SE
is a cheaper version of the Tremonti signature model, priced at
about $500. While it bears the Paul Reed Smith brand name, it
is manufactured by World Musical Instrument company, which is
based in Korea. However, even though it is not made in the
PRS factories, it generally lives up to the Paul Reed Smith
name. Among the differences between the two are that in
the Tremonti SE the body is thinner and made of lighter wood,
the pickups are downgraded, the neck lacks bird inlays and the
special 12th-fret inlay (there are dots instead), and
the tuners are not locking. However, Mark has praised the
guitar and has been quoted as saying that he warms up with it
backstage. With upgraded tuners, a bone or graphite nut, and
higher-end pickups, it can be quite a mean axe. The
Tremonti SE is available in
Black and
Platinum
finishes.
