"Isolation" hits #1
Alter Bridge today released a press release announcing "Isolation" had officially hit #1 on the Active Rock and Mainstream Rock charts. This marks the band's first #1 single, beating their two previous hits ("Open Your Eyes" and "Rise Today") which each reached #2.
"Isolation" has been sitting at #1 on mediabase's weekly Active Rock charts, updated daily, for about a week now. The top ten as of today are illustrated below:
Isolation has also hit #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. (Note that Billboard does not post its Mainstream Rock chart online; this was leaked from the Billboard.biz weekly reports. The Rock chart on Billboard's website includes Mainstream and Alternative rock stations, where Isolation is at #14.)

Band’s Long Awaited Alter Bridge - Live From Amsterdam DVD Released on January 11th
(January 18, 2010 – New York, NY) Just two weeks after claiming the #2 spot on the Active and Mainstream Rock Charts, Alter Bridge have stormed the top overtaking the #1 spot with their single, “Isolation.” The single, from the recently released AB III, highlights another milestone for the band becoming the group’s first #1 single in their career. Each of the band’s two previous albums had singles land at #2, “Open Your Eyes” from their debut album One Day Remains and “Rise Today” from their critically acclaimed sophomore effort Blackbird.

The band took “Isolation” further to the masses with a blistering performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on January 4th. ABIII was self-released on Alter Bridge recordings via EMI label services and debuted at #17 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.
Coinciding with the band’s chart success of “Isolation” and AB III, DC3 Music Group and Alter Bridge finally released their long-awaited DVD and live CD, Alter Bridge – Live From Amsterdam. Rumored for release multiple times in the US in 2010, the DVD saw the light of day stateside on January 11th, 2011. The US and UK release of single-disc version of the DVD landed at #1 on the Amazon US and UK the same day being released in 2009 and continued it’s trend hitting #1 on Amazon on its January 11th release date. Directed & Produced by Award-Winning Director Daniel E Catullo III (Rush, Rage Against The Machine, Godsmack) the DVD was recorded during the band’s 2008 Blackbird tour, the DVD showcases some of the band’s most memorable hits including “Rise Today,” “Open Your Eyes” and “Broken Wings.” The Deluxe Box set includes 2 discs- a DVD with the full show/ documentary and a live CD. The packaging also includes a 16 page color book. The DVD will also be available in Blu-Ray at the same time.
Alter Bridge just completed their first US tour in two years and will be announcing another leg for the spring in the near future.
